INTRODUCTION
At our recent AGM it was agreed that we should produce a regular newsletter for distribution to all of our members and include on our website.
We plan to produce Newsletters each year in January; April; June and September where we will give you current information and remind you of events that are taking place throughout the year. Members can also use our Newsletter to pass on any information they would like to share and details will need to reach me by first week of January; 31st March; 31st May and 31st August respectively

THE EDGE
It is wonderful news that all of the clubs have now returned to the Edge and we are all grateful to the work that Neill McWilliams has done to ensure a smooth transition. There are still some issues to resolve as well as establishing a long term plan as the current arrangements are for a 12 month period. Woolmer Hill Sports Association will be taking the lead in preparing the plan and Sport Haslemere will support them in this endeavour
ANNUAL GRANTS
A reminder of our annual grants process. Applications are invited in October each year but to be eligible members must have attended at least 2 of our annual events – the AGM; the Gala Sports Awards Evening and the 2 Open Meetings. Details of the rules for grants are included on our web site www.sporthaslemere.com and you can send applications to us at any time and they will be considered in November
GALA SPORTS AWARDS EVENING
Please start to consider now who you might be considering for nomination for the annual sports awards. Whilst the nominations formally opens in June there is no reason why you cannot start to think about potential nominees especially where your club will be out of season when the process commences. The awards evening is one not to be missed so make sure you have the date (9th October) firmly in your diary
FACEBOOK PAGE
We have established a Sport Haslemere Facebook page and a number of items have been posted. However we are looking for a volunteer to help us develop the page so that we can make full use of its potential. If your club or school has somebody who can help us please get in contact with us and we can discuss how they can help
HASLEMERE HERALD
The Haslemere Herald has been extremely helpful to us both in terms of publicity around our Gala Sports Awards Evening but also in giving detailed coverage about the problems in relation to The Edge. They have kept our campaign to re-open the Edge in the public eye and are always willing to provide coverage on sporting achievements. If your club or school have sporting activities they would like to publicise please get in touch with their sports editor Tom White – tom.white@farnhamherald.com
